The new owners of this Lake Quivira residence were drawn to the breathtaking lake views and the recently renovated interior. However, the home’s exterior, still clad in its original 1950s façade and obscured by oversized builder-grade decks, didn’t align with their modern tastes or lifestyle. 

To transform the home’s exterior into a distinctly modern design while enhancing its connection to the lake, a bold plan was developed. The renovation involved stripping the home’s outdated exterior, lowering the primary deck for better proportions, recladding the structure with contemporary materials, and creating new entryways to elevate its curb appeal. 

Inside, the dining room received a dramatic upgrade by removing the roof overhang and vaulting the ceiling, allowing natural light to flood the heart of the home. This change not only brightened the interior but also enhanced its connection to the lake, reinforcing the family-focused design of the space. 

The result is a fully reimagined residence that balances modern aesthetics with functionality, creating a home that is uniquely suited to the owners’ vision and the beauty of its lakeside setting.
