Roeland Park Rowhouses
Roeland Park, KS
The site of a small, abandoned church in Roeland Park had long ceased to benefit the neighborhood, even as the area experienced significant growth in recent years. Surrounded by small bungalows, we sought to respect and complement the neighborhood’s scale with a thoughtful new development.
Our design envisions a series of modest yet contemporary rowhomes that maximize the property while maintaining harmony with the surrounding architecture. To create visual interest along the streetscape, we utilized multiple footprints and elevations, ensuring construction remains economical while adding variety. The development is anchored by a unique corner unit, designed to resemble a single-family residence, offering a distinctive focal point at the street’s end.
Each rowhome features three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, and an open-concept main floor ideal for modern living. Additional amenities include at least one-car garages and a private rear yard, offering a blend of functionality and comfort.
This project balances efficient use of the site with an emphasis on scale, design, and livability, blending seamlessly into the character of the Roeland Park neighborhood while providing much-needed housing options.
